Our Client , A well established company within the transport refrigeration, power solutions and Tail Lift industry is seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Field Service Technician to join their dynamic team.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys field work, problem-solving, and working independently in a fast-paced operational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and supporting refrigeration and power systems while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair transport refrigeration systems
• Perform auto electrical and diesel mechanical repairs
• Conduct welding, structural repairs, and fabrication work
• Service and repair tail lift systems
• Attend to breakdowns and field service callouts
• Perform preventative maintenance and fault finding
• Complete digital job cards and diagnostic reports
• Work independently on customer sites and company operations
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures
• Provide technical feedback and updates to management
• Participate in standby and after-hours support when required

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in:
• Auto Electrical
• Diesel Mechanics
• Transport Refrigeration Systems
• Welding (structural and repair work)
• Tail Lift Systems
• Matric and relevant qualifications
• Computer literacy and ability to work with diagnostic software
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Willingness to work extended hours and standby shifts
• Valid driver’s license non-negotiable
• Must own a complete set of tools required for the role
• Professional attitude with strong accountability and work ethic
